BETWEEN THE AUSTRALIA-CHINA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF NEW SOUTH
WALES AND URUMQI MUNICIPAL PEOPLE’S GOVERNMENT OF XINJIANG UYGUR AUTONOMOUS
REGION We, the Australia-China Chamber
of Commerce and Industry of New South Wales (Australian Party) and the Urumqi
Municipal People’s Government (Chinese Party) pledge to co-operate in the
business areas of export-import, investment/joint ventures, business
information including academic research and development, commercial culture
such as the performing arts, and public administration including social
services. Each party agrees to co-operate
as follows: |

INVESTMENT AND JOINT VENTURES |

BUSINESS INVORMATION INCLUDING
ACADEMIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT |

COMMERCIAL CULTURE SUCH AS THE
PERFORMING ARTS |

|
5. |
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION INCLUDING
SOCIAL SERVICES |
|
|
|

|
6. |
Each party agrees to sponsor and
promote visits by business delegations for the expansion of bilateral trade
and investment. |
|
|
7. |
Each individual matter of
co-operation (“project”) will be documented outlining details of
implementation and are subject to agreement by both parties. |
|
|
8. |
All issues of disagreement will
be settled in the spirit of compromise and for mutual benefit without
recourse to civil law. |
|
|
9. |
This Memorandum will remain in
effect until such time that the two parties mutually decide to terminate the
arrangement. |
